Wudl honoredwith UCLA Alumni Professional Achievement AwardFred Wudl, Professor of Materials and of Chemistry and co-director of the UC Santa Barbara Center for Polymers and Organic Solids (CPOS), is being honored with this year's UCLA Alumni Professional Achievement Award. Recognized as one of the top 100 chemists in the world by the Institute for Scientific Information, Wudl was formerly UCLA's Dean Willard Professor of Chemistry; at CPOS, he continues his groundbreaking work on the synthesis and characterization of new organic materials. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and editor of the Journal of Materials Chemistry. He received both his BS ('64) and his Ph.D. ('67) from UCLA. Wudl and the other award recipients with receive their honors at a private ceremony on June 1 on the UCLA campus. |
